I know I know. Where is this revamp that I talked about?

Revamp has unfortunately been put on hold since I have way more stuff to do than I intended. Having responsibilities is hard!

So the May holidays just went and disappeared just like that. I wondered what in the world I could have been doing to warrant such a disappearance which I was vaguely but not really aware. It was something that was floating in my subconscious but I did all I could to suppress and exile it to the very, very back of my mind.

It wasn't a smart choice, but at least I was happy for those two weeks.

And now, returning to the present, I keep telling myself over and over again to get a grip, to take control, it isn't working out so well either. With my newfound responsibilities, I'm painfully aware that I'm only using those responsibilities as excuses to miserably veil my true intentions of slacking like there's no tomorrow. Not to mention, with the boost in my ego, I am really going to need a miracle to help pull me out of my little world.

Hello there :)

I've been missing for about 10 days now and I apologize for that. Take it as a break from my random and uncontrollable rants? Hahaha :D

Quite a lot happened when I was gone, the big headliner being I got sick. Like, REALLY sick. It felt like I was floating on air whenever I stood up and my head was just being a plain pain in the butt with the constant throbbing and other shizz. It got so bad I actually needed to take a trip down to the doctors to get some meds. 5 tablets at at time anyone?

The side effects of the medications was pretty fun though :D

Plus I got to skip like two days of school and tuition, not including the weekend and the extra holiday today. Heh. But mind you, out of the two days I was skipping, both days I was just lying in bed like a dead person. It was baaaaad.

The bad side though, I missed my very last Sports Day of my school. I wanted to go but I had a relapse the day before which equals to me not going. I am sad for that, seriously. I also was forced to miss Joy's reunion on Saturday, she came back from Australia and now she's gone again. I'm sorry D:

I don't know whether anybody wondered how I could be fit enough to go onto Twitter and spazz if I was as sick as I said I was. I guess, I just didn't want to sleep so much. It's like, I'm wasting so much time sleeping away when I could actually do something else. Guess that's also how I developed my ~~rather unhealthy~~ habit of sleeping late.

I love sleep though ♥

So will I continue sleeping more or less from now on? I don't know either.

My little three day vacation is OVER. And I am sad. Though it wasn't really a vacation to be honest, it's just the weekend plus a day which I self declared a holiday. But still it was longer than usual. I am now learning to cherish every single moment where I can just laze around and do nothing.

Better Times

Goodbye and good riddance to be honest. March was downright horrible to a certain extent. Terrible, terrible things happened and I could do was stand and watch.

Not for the first time, I felt it. That feeling of being utterly useless when the situation calls for it and you're forced to make a decision when you haven't even stood up straight yet.

I know. Everything happens for a reason yes? Nichkhun mentions it twice in Without You. But, sometimes I wonder, for what goddamned reason, what greater good were these people sacrificed just like that without a warning? Like a sudden flash of lightning, it's presence so quick and fleeting, they're gone.

Maybe it's because I'm just not mature enough to understand.

Or maybe it's just because I have no idea how to come to grips with everything that just came crashing down like that.

I'm not weak. At least I believe so. But this was just too much. I've cried so much this month it's insane.

They say that the journey is the best part of life. I'll learn to savour said journey one day. But that day will not be today. Maybe it'll be tomorrow? When I have a sudden spark of inspiration or insight that clears my mind, like an epiphany. I highly doubt it though.

Till that day comes though, I will try to live life to the fullest. The chain of events that invaded my psych recently has at least taught me that.

You can only live life once not listening to anyone for no reason.

So my rant comes to an end for now. It'll be back though, sure enough it will.

And here comes my little dedication to the bravest person I sadly never had the pleasure to meet in real life. He brought an entire school together, no, he brought an entire nation together, if I dare say. He was a warrior, a fighter, a friend, a brother, a son and now an inspiration to many of us out there.

Though he'll never see this, thank you. Thank you so much. You opened our eyes just a little wider, opened our hearts just a little bigger. You taught us to never give up, to fall down and cry but to never stop getting back up on our feet.

I never knew you, I only found out about your condition two days ago when your most amazing friends led a valiant effort to let the world know about you. I was there. I saw it happen and it was...just stunning.

To Siow E Kent, to the battle that he fought so bravely without even flinching once.

You've done great. Don't worry about your friends too much, they'll live well for you. It's your turn to take a rest now. Your presence on this earth, the places you've set your foot on, though was way too short has left an impact and engraved itself into our memories and hearts.

Rest in peace, Siow E Kent. We will always remember you.

The End of Something Beautiful

Happy belated birthday! :D

It's the last day of the March holidays D:

My dad has a serious case of the 'xin xue lai chao'. So we went on a field trip yesterday to Port Dickson. It wasn't really as nice as before.

But then, we discovered another beach in Serdang. Now that, was beautiful.

It reminded me a lot of the last time I went to Thailand, to Coral Island. That was the most beautiful beach I've ever seen in my life. White sand, crystal clear water. Gorgeous :)

And we went off to Qing Ren Qiao, or the Lover's Bridge for dinner.

It was a lot prettier than I remembered it the last time we went there. It was a lot more decorated since New Year just passed. I was kinda fascinated by the lights.

Current on-constant-repeat-song. Blast 2PM for having ridiculously catchy songs.

Another not very organized post. I'm suppose to be designing an advert but I decided to slack and keep myself busy with other things.

I guess I'll go get back to that, and also my story. Till next time :D

I'm back to continuing my ridiculously long and delayed kpop meme.

Day 10: A k-pop dance you’d like to learn

Actually there are A LOT of dances that I want to learn but I basically have two left feet so I think I may have to pass :)

So, recently, I've noticed that my grammar has been declining quite a bit. As in, I'm making a lot of silly typos, like misspelling words and using wrong vocabulary and struggling to find the right words for a phrase that I would have easily whipped out when I was younger.

I blame this on myself, and the internet. Well, mostly the internet. And also my computer, spell check is ruining me.

I've been writing very frequently this days. Almost on a daily basis. What I'm writing, I won't expose at this moment because I feel I am not yet ready. But yes, I've been writing way more than usual.

Is this a sign?

I feel indescribable feelings of happiness as well, whenever someone compliments me on my writing when I think I didn't put my 100% into it. Do they really think that I write well? I really do hope so.

So you can see why I am worried about my deteriorating (I YES-ed when I spelt deteriorating right LOL) grammar and vocab and what not. I like those feelings, I don't want those feelings to disappear.

~~And also, I want someone I can talk to about this feelings of mine.~~

And I have a strange feeling that due to my constant writing, I've turned into quite a mellow person, even more mellow than before. I did a post on StandingEGG recently, which is basically a group that does extremely calming and mellow music. And now, as I type this out, Lady Antebellum's Can't Take My Eyes Off You and various other mellow music has been on replay for quite some time now.

I do still listen to fast and heart-pumping music (TONIGHT~ TONIGHT~ TONIGHT~ TONIGHT~) but I can see that I'm definitely leaning towards mellow and calming music recently.

A phase maybe?

So the main point is, my english is doing downhill and I don't like it one bit.

Had a 'little' parteeeeh on Twitter yesterday night at 12AM KST with the rest of the VIPs around the world!

There was this one tweet that really hit spot on.

So I had the best night of my life last night (I bet every VIP in the world would say this, I mean 2 years and 3 months man!!). So good that I was in a constant high throughout the day.

Have You Ever Fallen In Love?

I've recently fallen in love with an indie band. Okay so it's a kpop-indie band. Actually, I wouldn't even call them kpop, just for the simple fact that they belong to a whole new other category altogether.

So yeah, I've fallen in love with a korean indie band.

Said indie band is called StandingEGG.

I don't really understand how they operate because they have like two different groups of people running the band. Group 1 would be the behind-the-scenes one I suppose? Since they're only known as Egg 1, Egg 2, and Egg 3. Mysterious, I know. Egg 1 is in charge of composing. Egg 2 is also in charge of composing and vocals while Egg 3 is in charge of writing.

Then there's the other group, Group 2, aka the group where you actually know who they are. Clover, vocals and guitar. Han Kyul, double bass and Hana, djembe. This group is the live session team.

So yeah, I don't really get it. But that's not the main point.

The main point is they make absolutely, fabulously amazing music. I am not kidding.

If you're biased towards kpop. Like you hate it or whatever, please, push that prejudice aside and hear them out, because the music that they make, is seriously too good not to be shared and heard by everyone in the world.

I seriously think so. Their songs have been on replay for around 4 days now. 4 days is quite a long time to listen to the same songs over and over you know.

"Lalala" is their debut single. It features a cute little animated video which a fan actually made for them. It's upbeat, it makes you feel happy. Can't go wrong right?

Then came the Clover Project, which is how I like to call it.

He has 2 songs but I prefer 붉은 달 feat. Sohi which loosely translates to Red Month

I'm so in love with his voice you don't even know, it's like...as smooth as chocolate. I kid you not. CHOCOLATE (Y)

After some time, they release their first full length studio album, titled With.

Two songs which I really really like apart from the main title songs. Those two are...

Hide and Seek. Which makes you feel like you're sipping wine in some extremely high-class place. Also it has this amazing way of pulling you in with it's I quote, snazzy jazzy vibes.

And

First Christmas. Imagine this, a fireplace, a warm blanket, two cups of hot chocolate. Pure white snow falling silently and serenely, undisturbed by anything in the world, covering the entire ground in a beautiful layer of white. And of course there's you and your lady/man. That's what it's like, and I don't even understand a word of what he's saying.

And finally, their latest release, which is also the song that got me hooked and went looking for more.

Unfortunately, I do not have a valentine to spend this little day with. ~~Why do I need one anyways? I am Mrs. G after all.~~

A friend of mine did the most sweetest and romantic thing ever for a girl he loved today. You can't help but go "Awww!" whenever you think about it.

I can't help it. I'm a sucker for romance.

Maybe one day somebody will be willing to do that for me? Hahahaha!

I really do hope so though ROFL.

House-Hopping Adventures

Can you believe I just learned the word House-Hopping today? Thank you Keeseng for enlightening me :D

So the plan to go 'rob' ~~according to James Chu~~ some angpaos from some unwitting parents commenced last Saturday on the 12th of February. I was suppose to go to school first but yeah...I was lazy.

First stop Songjin's house.

This be my partners-in-crime. Though we're missing one member at the moment.

After that all SE7EN of us including Tracy's mom behind the wheel squeezed and squeezed ourselves into a Saga. I swear it was exactly like that trick the clowns usually do where they all squish themselves into a tiny little car and drives off. Except this was more chaotic.

Then we arrived at Jingmin's house. And we forgot take a group picture. FAIL FAIL FAIL D:

So off we go again (by foot!), for we have a schedule to keep up to, to Weiwen's house for lunch.

Oh yesh. We picked up Jingmin on the way the way there. And Shu-Lyn also magically appears :D

Then, we go over to Weiwen's house for lunch, graciously prepared by her sweet mother.

Happy Chinese New Year eve! Hoping to get lots and lots of angpao this year so I can save/splurge/pamper/waste money on myself, friends and family. I already have one and it's not even officially new year yet!

Our school's cross country race just passed last Thursday. I got Q25 and I'm super proud. I was like Q46 last year. This will be the last run since it's also the last year I'll be in SMKSU. Thinking about it, I feel really melancholic.

I feel sad whenever I think that it's going to be the last of everything school-related.

I got a package of love on Tuesday which came in a little Kinokuniya paper bag.

A friend of mine visited Korea recently and he bought some goodies for me! The last time he went he already bought some stuff for me so I was expecting maybe a little trinket or something but I was already really happy whatever it was!

Imagine the shock I got when he said it was OFFICIAL YG MERCHANDISE

I swear my face was like this 8D the entire night. Fangirling was compulsory :P

Okay, I actually spoilered myself by guessing that he got me the BIGBANG 2011 Calendar (he dropped a message saying that he couldn't find any BB glowsticks so I sadly crossed that off the list of potential things).

Turns out he DID get me the calendar ~~which is SUPER DUPER gorgeous by the way~~.

No, I don't have the album YET. I mean I haven't even gotten my GD&TOP album yet and I ordered it like 3 weeks ago!

The person called me today afternoon though when I was half-asleep and told me it has ARRIVED.

IT HAS ARRIVED.

I am excited!

Okay back to the review post.

Are you ready Seungri?

1. VVIP

I admit. I didn't really like this at first. It fell a little flat for me. It didn't have the 'oomph' factor for a title song. But luckily he released a video for this which totally changed my perspective of it. The Alice-in-Wonderland concept, the crazy costumes, the inappropriate dance moves (HAHA), the flaunting of his very own VVIP 'credit cards', him kicking butt with a hat. The video and live performances really won me over. And the ninja-ing of Strong Baby and Sexy Back into lyrics is (Y)

2. 어쩌라고 (What Can I Do)

I liked this much much better than VVIP on my first listen of the entire album. I wasn't feeling it when I watched the teaser. I was kind of disappointed to be honest but Seungri really stepped up his game. One of my favourites now, it's just so damn catchy! Seriously, it just drills itself into your head after one listen. ONE LISTEN. Oh and Seungri looks wonderfully BAMF in the video too.

3. 창문을 열어 (Open Window) feat. G-Dragon

This is the type of music Seungri should be singing FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. BABY-MAKING MUSIC that features G-DRAGON. Okay, I did fangirl quite a bit when I listened to this song. It's just so smooth and pleasing! Not to mention it features my ultimate bias which creates my ultimate OTP. It has that same 70s(?) vibe that keeps popping up in YG Family albums recently. Definitely an on-replay-forever-worthy song.

4. Magic

Another BAMF song. BAMF song be BAMF. The little banter at the start is so presh. I think it's Choice37 and Seungri? Seungri keeps mentioning Choice throughout the song so I'll stick with that. The entire feel of the song is just playful and teasing. About a guy who's a little nervous to approach a girl but what they have is like magic. Something that would be playing the background or in your head when you see that certain someone walking past.

5. I Know feat. IU

One of the most forgettable songs for me (runs to hide from legions of IU fans). The duet is cute and all but it's too plain for me. It's too IU and not Seungri enough, maybe next time try getting IU to do a Seungri-style song?

6. White Love

Favourite track from the album. The guitar at the beginnning and the 'oowhh' throughout the entire song is lovely. Then Seungri coming in with his voice which just fits perfectly with the feel of the song. These type of songs is definitely his forte. Love love love love~

7. Outro (In My World)

I was looking forward to this song ever since I found out he wrote it for VIPs. I was not disappointed. Sometimes, the simpler the things are the better. It applies for this song so much. Just a simple piano melody and Seungri's voice. Nothing else is needed. Beautiful.

Overview

A good first album for BIGBANG's resident maknae/Strong Baby. It has literally zero autotune which showcases his vocals really well. He also wrote and composed 6 out of 7 of the songs which is quite amazing for a first-timer. You can just feel the difference in this album, maybe because it was produced by new producers from YG? A album worth getting.

This be the end of the review. These are just my opinions, feel free to have your own. Try listening to his songs, you might love it or hate it. But if you love it then that's a win-win situation yes?!

I really don't like confrontations. So when I found out I'm going to have to fight for a certain something, I blanked out. What the heck was I going to do?

How do you like the revamp? I know, I know it's extremely kpopped. But I'm BIGBANG-biased. Deal with it. How's the music working for you? It's kpop? Perfect.

Revamped

My first post of the new year :)

Yeah, I revamped my blog even though I rarely post now, I've been thinking about it since last year and since I had some free time on my hands, I decided to just go for it.

It's super simple. None of those complicated HTML codes, I actually converted it to the new Blogger design thing and the rest was pretty easy. I did carry over most of the stuff from the old design though. It just looks a lot more classier :D

The banner may not last long though, I'm already feeling the usual I'm-not-satisfied-with-this-picture vibe from it. Maybe because it was a rushed thing. I did it in like 1 hour or so?

Definitely going to be a lot of tweaks here and there over this few days.

Day 9: Your favorite k-pop performance

Maybe not of all time but its definitely now.

Am too mindf***ed to think straight. Excuse me while I wipe the remains of my brain off the screen. 2PM was a pretty close 2nd heheheh

So. I didn't go to work.

Yeah, well for a very VERY important reason, I've decided to forsake my salary this year. But I don't regret it actually. Because I know, that it was the right choice to make.

So I finished BOTH Sungkyunkwan Scandal and You're Beautiful some time ago.

Sungkyunkwan Scandal was pretty good. Easily the best kdrama i've ever watched, considering i've only watched around 5 i think? The storyline was good, and the actors were awesome.

Forever lol-ing at Song Joong Ki aka Gu Yong Ha. He's like my 2nd favourite character

And there was Yoo Ah In, playing as Moon Jae Shin.

You see how pretty this man is?!

It's the same guy, except MUCH manlier. Oh and he has like this mini-stache but still hot nonetheless!

Another i like about Sungkyunkwan Scandal is the songs which are mainly sung by the ex-TVXQ trio, JYJ. Since the lead character is played by Micky Yoochun, it's only natural that the soundtrack would contain most of their songs.

My view on Jaejoong has changed completely. I used to think he was one of the most useless one because i only knew Changmin and Junsu as the main vocalists. Plus, i'm not a huge TVXQ fan anyways. But after listening to this song:

The name roughly translates to 'For You It's Separation, To Me It's Waiting'

I was wowed. Favourite song of the drama. And i found out Jaejoong sang it, so yeah, i have been enlightened about his vocal capabilities. But seriously this song is awesome, i call it the Geol Oh theme song because its played whenever something sad happens to him ;____;

Moving along to You're Beautiful

You were right Song Jin, people who don't watch You're Beautiful is gonna regret it. And now as i type, i suddenly realize that this drama is going to need its own post. Plus i have a buttload of pictures to upload and there's gonna be too much going on if i post it in this same post.

Day 8: A k-pop song you know all the words to

So i've been marathoning Sungkyunkwan Scandal for the past few days, hoping that i can finish it before December, because well, i'm gonna be working again. And i don't want to leave it hanging like IRIS last year.

Poor You're Beautiful and Fugitive: Plan B. I'll find someday to finish you guys!

But seriously this picture...does not make me want to watch the drama at all D:

And unfortunately, Rain/Bi/Jeong Jihoon does not look all dashing and James-Bond-like-with-the-cigarette-in-his-mouth-and-looking-extremely-hot in the show all the time. Only certain times does this bad boy appear, in others, he's just a lovable doofus :)

SKK Scandal has been pretty good for me so far, aka Episode 7. Really really like Song Joong Ki's character, Gu Yong Ha. The typical manipulative playboy with a good heart and a quick mind.

Day 7: A k-pop song that makes you cry

Erm i don't have one actually, i usually cry when i'm watching movies so maybe the soundtrack that goes with it? The most recent one will have to be when Sa Woo died in IRIS? It was a soundtrack instead of a song and i can't find the exact title for it but it got me blubbering like a kid that's for sure.

Oh wait i totally forgot all about Kim Tak Goo! My god that show seriously is all about hardcore crying. Why so angstaaaay?! ;________;

I'm back from Penang! And yeah it was made of awesomeness and crack from the start. Just like how i predicted it. There was lots of snacks, beer-hunting, no-sleeping, log-sleeping, silly pictures and BIGBANG socks!!

And i just remembered something REALLY AWESOME. So Vanessa was checking out my Blackberry and she was like 'Who's is this?' Then she saw the wallpaper and went 'Oh its GD -____-'

The newly opened one at carrefour and i've just secretly and cunningly planted the idea into my grandma's brain that she can go shopping at carrefour too! So now i'm in the process of uploading the taiwan pictures onto facebook, can't believe i have to split the album in half because it exceeded the number of pictures for an album (Only 200 pictures! Like what the firetruck?)

Roadshows are HORRIBLE because they're so damn TIRING.

1st Day

Just 2 days of it and i was going to drop dead on the spot. I have no idea how my brother can tahan 3 days of it! Especially on the last day! Running up and down everywhere, moving all the stuff to the car and trucks to ship off back to the shop.

2nd Day

But still it was a pretty good experience. Learned a bunch of useful things, like writing invoices. And the roadshow in all was pretty cool, opposite from our booth was samsung(?) i think which were displaying 3D TVs.

THE REAL 3D stuff! Not like those cinema ones!

The place where the av show was held was REALLY NICE. I look forward going to the toilet everyday xD

Sorry about flooding my blog with Kpop Videos recently, its just that there's alot of HUGE comebacks lately. So i'm doing my part and helping them promote eventhough i don't think anybody is going to notice this blog anyways but bottomline is i contributed! :D

Sketchbook Performances

So Taeyang and Jiyong's sketchbook performances were finally uploaded yesterday and all of them rock!

Sketchbook performances are usually awesome because they have great sound system and usually the artist's will perform special versions of their songs. So we get something different then the other usual performances on normal music shows

Ok first off, I Need A Girl, with a heavier drum beat

Did you watch it? DID YOU SEE THE STARTING?! He came out from the audience with BLAZING LIGHT behind him! Like a real sun! Hahaha xD

Then then then(!) Jiyong appears in all his black suited, leopard printed bowtie glory!! Imagine that! And he does his ~~freaking awesome~~ rap part and does that that that(!) hand motion thingy! AHHHHH *melts*

At the last part there's a SERIOUSLY UNEXPECTED surprise! If you've watched it, you'll know what. If you don't know what it is, THEN GO WATCH IT!

WATCH IT if you didn't! His sunglasses flew off! HIS SUNGLASSES FLEW OFF! That is a LOL-tastic moment :DDD

With his sunglasses off, you can actually see how much ~~guyliner~~ makeup he has on. But by the end of the performance, all his makeup probably already melted off from all his intense dancing which caused his intense sweating. Plus, the crowd loved it when he got on his knees

Solid performance as usual. He should just give up trying to stuff his shirt into his belt because 3 seconds later it'll just fly back out from all the dancing. I really like Just A Feeling's dance moves for some reason keke

I spent some much needed quality time today with the iMac and i can say that i've managed to successfully learn how to use it ~~at its most basic of course~~

Actually managed to catch Music Bank live on KBS World today. Fell asleep halfway through but my BIGBANG Senses woke me up to watch Taeyang's I Need A Girl performance. Muahaha! Then Taeyang went on to ~~pawn Suju~~ win the K-Chart bringing his total numbers of wins on music shows to 3 in just 3 weeks! Taeyang Fighting!

And he did a handstand before his encore!

YAY ME!

Hectic hectic day today. Lots of places to go to. Thank you my brother for being my driver :D

Went out at 1 something to pick up my cake

Parade had some event going on so we were stuck in that area for like almost 2 HOURS , like seriously? I was suppose to have lunch at 2:30 but because of all the roadblocks the police dudes set up, only managed to get out of that are at like 3!

So rushed over to Bangsar and had a late late 4PM lunch at Kuriya

After that, went off to Low Yat to check out my malfunctioning phone which turns out that most W980s' have this software problem because of the 8GB internal memory. Guy just told me to reset settings at it'll be all good again. But its too late now since it already ate up all my pictures and music -_-

Went back to Bangsar again and this time went to Lot 10 to the visit the Machines store there. Lot 10 was having this National Geographic thing going on. Camwhored with all the frames a bit :P

Hari Koperasi today! Worked our butts off to sell almost everything. I feel all warm on the inside knowing that i worked hard today :)

Plus i skipped all my tuitions, was really tired. Thought about just crashing for the afternoon and wake up in the evening to catch up on all the news. But i decided to tell songjin that i canceled BM tuition so we could do our NIE project which is due NEXT WEEK.

She came over and we i wasted one hour spazzing about korean-related things, did some research on the NIE thing, laughed uncontrollably, cut some pictures out, laughed somemore, found out our BMIs on Reader's Digest.com and we finished ~~everything~~ the cover!

I unexpectedly went to cut my hair today, it wasn't planned at all and i think i was partially provoked into cutting it by a certain someone

It looks okay i suppose. Not how i want it but better than before at least :D

Had my first probation duty today! Thank god there was somebody i know there o.o

And i just found out how awesome banks are today :D
